Live Virtual ASL Baking Class - Lemon Blueberry Muffins
On March 15th, 1 - 3 pm MST, let's learn how to make Lemon Blueberry Muffins and some baking signs in ASL! Join us! ASL interpreter provided.
$25 per device. Gather your friends and family and make a batch of these to shareā€”or not.
You will have access to New Sass on the Block for two days beginning the morning of March 15th to the evening of the 16th.
If you have gluten or dairy allergies, I've listed alternatives below.
Ingredients:
sugar,
lemon zest from 3 lemons,
flour (gluten alternative: 1:1 flour like Bob's Red Mill or King Authur),
salt,
baking powder,
cinnamon,
oil (coconut, olive, sunflower, etc - vegetable and canola aren't really good for you but if that's what you have these work too!),
canned full-fat coconut milk (alternatives: whole milk, sour cream, plain yogurt),
2 eggs,
lemon juice from 1 lemon,
vanilla extract,
fresh blueberries (frozen works but you will have to de-thaw them and get the moisture out of them as best as you can before using)
Crumb topping (if desired)
flour,
sugar,
melted butter (alternatives: plant butter or ghee),
lemon zest
