Let's Get Cracking!
Feb 05, 2025Have you ever cracked an egg and little pieces fall into the batter? I have...so many times. It can sometimes take me 20 minutes to fish them out! Sigh...
Now that I know a trick to avoid that, I don't have this problem!
The trick is leaving your eggs on the counter for 10 - 15 minutes before cracking them into the batter. When you gently tap the egg on the counter to crack it open, it won't shatter nearly as much. I also suggest using the edge of the counter, it's easier than the flat surface, in my opinion.
