There are many types of hearing aids, but the ones I have require me to get new earmolds every 3 - 4 years. The earmolds sit in the ear and have a plastic tube running through them. This funnels the sound into my ear.

I absolutely hate getting them! 

If you don't wear these types of hearing aids, consider yourself lucky. AYYYYY! Honestly, I will prolong going to the audiologist to avoid getting new ones. I am the type to use them until they disintegrate. 

A regular visit to the audiologist typically doesn't result in pain but every 3 - 4 years....it does!
