I still remember the first time I made one in Girl Scouts. I think I was around 10 years old at the time. We were staying in a lodge at a Nature Center in Connecticut. I know it was sometime in the Fall since we learned how they make maple syrup and we got to help!
One afternoon, we made a pineapple upside-down cake. Delicious! We were in teams and afterward, we got to enjoy the fruits of our labor. Literally!
