Who here loves icing on a cake? Just a thin layer of sweetness is sometimes all you need. Frosting can sometimes be too thick and then I wind up taking it off before I can eat it. Others prefer the frosting over the cake lol
Icing is just powdered sugar with a little milk and vanilla. There are more complicated recipes for icing but this is just a basic one. As long as it's a little runny and not like pouring milk, that's icing. If you want to make sure your icing or frosting is WHITE and not a pale white, use clear vanilla extract. This will keep the color a vibrant white. As always, you can add food coloring if you want a different color like red for Valentine's or Green for St. Patricks.

1 cup powdered sugar
2 - 3 Tbsp milk (can use alternative kinds of milk)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
