C is for... CAKE!

Did you know that there are MANY variations for the sign 'cake'?

Don't ask me why. Personally, I'd rather fingerspell it. Only four letters...so it's not hard. 

Growing up, my mom always baked a homemade cake for our birthdays. She has no idea that that tradition has turned me into somewhat of a cake snob. I REFUSE to let anyone buy me a birthday cake. I'd rather make my own birthday cake. Luckily, I never have to because I have the sweetest mother on earth. She mails me my birthday cake every year...across the country. I know...I know. Spoiled. 

If she didn't do it, I can guarantee you that I will be in the kitchen the night before, whipping up a cake. I love just about every kind...unless it has nuts in it...then I am appalled. I just never liked nuts. Not as a snack and certainly not in a cake. 

In the cake curriculum, there are currently two cakes: spice and lemon. What else should I add? Email The Sassy Baker!
